The A-Grade falls in the category of "root quality" pipes, which means that the grain is either cross, flame, straight, or birds eye. This is very much apparent through the transparent Chestnut Tan finish. The James Upshall A-Grade is available in sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, Ex.L, and Empire Series (Tradition).
